The Tenmoku cup is a traditional teacup from China. The Tenmoku style dates back to the 10th century and was taken up by the Japanese Zen monks in the 14th century. The particularity of this cup is the natural appearance of the patterns and colors which comes from the oxidation-reduction reaction.
The “Floral” cup was given this name because it has floral patterns on the bottom of the cup that are often reminiscent of a peony bloom, and the flower petals have a relief effect resulting from the oxidation-reduction reaction.
