A cup that is truly unlike any other

This handmade cup is inspired by the famous ancestral ceramic art dating from the 10th century AD: Tenmoku. This is a traditional manufacturing method by causing a crystallization (glazing or glazing) with a changing character that forms the unique patterns without any human intervention.

The changing characteristic of Tenmoku art is at its peak with this star cup: the star shape at the bottom of the cup is surrounded by the drops of enamel that fall naturally during kiln firing. The alternating white and blue colors are distributed in different places in different forms, all encircled by an ochre outline on the edges of the cup.

The Team's opinion

The star is certainly one of the Team's favorite cups. 2 years of use only enhance the beautiful drops of glaze that seem to be running down the wall. A creamy espresso could give a nice contrast effect with the rather dark color of the cup.
